Premier proposes to set up an Armenian-Vietnamese governmental commission

Armenia’s premier Hovik Abrahamyan offered his Vietnamese colleague Nguyen Tan Dung to create an Armenian-Vietnamese intergovernmental commission, the press office of the Armenian government reported after the recent meeting of the two premiers in the capital of Kazakhstan.

YEREVAN, June 1. /ARKA/. Armenia’s premier Hovik Abrahamyan offered his Vietnamese colleague Nguyen Tan Dung to create an Armenian-Vietnamese intergovernmental commission, the press office of the Armenian government reported after the recent meeting of the two premiers in the capital of Kazakhstan.

Abrahamyan said the commission and a joint business forum would help develop the existing potential for economic cooperation between the two countries, according to the report.

Armenian-Vietnamese ties have strengthened over the last years and laid groundwork for mutually advantageous partnership, the Armenian premier said. Apart from this, Vietnam’s cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) has become a new factor contributing to Armenia-Vietnam relationship, Abrahamyan said.

Nguyen Tan Dung agreed to create the commission and hold a business forum. The Vietnamese premier highly appreciated the bilateral cooperation and indicated the need for further development of trade and economic ties.

The sides stressed the importance of cooperation in the international stage.

Armenia’s premier is in Kazakhstan to participate in the meetings of the CIS premiers’ council and the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council. –0--
