YEREVAN, February 10. / ARKA /. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan signed a decree on Tuesday on the implementation of single foreign economic policy. Sargsyan's press office said the decision was made based on the need to coordinate and harmonize the cooperation of Armenian government agencies with international economic structures, as well as the European Union.
Under the decree, the coordination and cooperation with the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the World Trade Organization, the Eurasian Economic Union as well as with regional and international economic structures and unions will be implemented by the ministry of international economic integration and reform.
This ministry is also vested with the authority to coordinate economic issues with the EU and the European Neighborhood Program.
The ministry may receive and provide relating information to various government agencies, submit proposals to the prime minister and the heads of executive bodies, help develop projects and create task forces.
Executive bodies have to discuss with the ministry of international economic integration and reform all related issues, programs and activities.
At the diplomatic level, the ministry's interests will be represented by heads of Armenian diplomatic missions and consular sections abroad, which must support the ministry's programs and projects.
