Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan took a tour of the capital city Yerevan today together with Yerevan mayor Taron Margaryan to see the pace of implementation of a set of large investment projects, his press service said.

YEREVAN, April 26. / ARKA /. Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan took a tour of the capital city Yerevan today together with Yerevan mayor Taron Margaryan to see the pace of implementation of a set of large investment projects, his press service said.

In particular, the president inspected an area on Vazgen Sargsyan Street, the site for construction of a government building that will house the ministries of foreign affairs, energy and natural resources and justice.

President Sargsyan was told also about the status of Old Yerevan project.

As part of it historical and cultural buildings will be re-created on an area adjacent to central streets Buzandi, Arami and Yeznik Koghbatsi.

The "Old Yerevan" project, developed by architect Levon Vardanyan, calls for re-creation of the architectural appearance of Yerevan of late XIX - early XX centuries. On a small patch in the center of the city dozens of buildings and architectural structures erected during that period will be built.

The president visited also the Children's Park located between Grigor Lusavoritch, Zakian, Khorenatsii and Beirut streets. Mayor Margaryan said the reconstruction will not affect its operation. -0-
