Real estate transactions in Armenia exceeded 19.5 thousand in February, showing a monthly decline

In February 2025, 19,551 real estate transactions were completed in Armenia, compared to 21,159 transactions in February 2024 and 15,269 transactions in January 2025.

YEREVAN, April 9. /ARKA/. In February 2025, 19,551 real estate transactions were completed in Armenia, compared to 21,159 transactions in February 2024 and 15,269 transactions in January 2025. This is according to data from the National Statistical Committee of Armenia.

The largest number of transactions in the reporting month occurred in Yerevan – 5,960 (30.5% of the total), while the fewest took place in Vayots Dzor – 290 (1.5%). In Kotayk, 3,187 transactions (16.3%) were made, in Armavir - 1,730 (8.8%), in Ararat - 1,618 (8.3%), in Gegharkunik - 1,376 (7%), in Aragatsotn - 1,320 (6.8%), in Lori - 1,263 (6.5%), in Tavush - 1,144 (5.7%), in Shirak - 1,046 (5.4%), and in Syunik - 617 (3.2%).

In the overall structure of the market, real estate alienation transactions prevail – 7,129 (36.5% of the total), including 4,586 purchase and sale transactions, 2,131 donations, and 50 exchanges. Additionally, 3,721 primary registration transactions were completed (19% of the total number), 3,316 inheritance transactions (17%), 2,309 pledge transactions (11.7%), 1,763 re-registration transactions (9%), 1,105 lease transactions (5.7%), and 208 legalization transactions (1.1%).

In February, the largest portion of real estate transactions involved land – 7,900 (40.4%). The report also indicates that 4,776 transactions were made with apartments in multi-apartment buildings (24.4%), 3,786 transactions with residential houses (19.4%), 1,566 transactions with public buildings (8%), 1,161 transactions with garages (5.9%), and 362 transactions with industrial buildings (1.9%).
