YEREVAN, May 20. /ARKA/. Rosselkhoznadzor will impose temporary restrictions on the import of floral products originating and shipped from Armenia starting May 22, 2026.

According to the agency's website, the decision was made to protect the phytosanitary well-being and export potential of Russia. It will remain in effect until the completion of the inspection of greenhouses and the analysis of its results.

According to Rosselkhoznadzor, despite the guarantees provided by the Food Safety Inspectorate of Armenia, the identification of quarantine species for the EAEU continues.

"During the import of 96.2 million floral products, 135 cases were detected. This represents 77% of the total number of detections for all of 2025," the statement noted.

Regarding Russia's Complaints

Earlier, Sergei Dankvert, head of Rosselkhoznadzor, stated that Russia still maintains its complaints regarding some plant and livestock products imported from Armenia, citing doubts about their origin and an increasing number of identified violations.

According to him, in recent years, there has been a particularly significant increase in the supply of certain categories of goods, including flowers, necessitating strengthened phytosanitary control. He cited the integration of information systems within the EAEU as a possible solution to ensure full traceability of products.
