YEREVAN, November 7. /ARKA/. Armenian President Serzh Sarsgsyan received Chairman of Eurasian Economic Commission’s Board Viktor Khristenko on Thursday and discussed with him a wide range of issues related to Armenia’s cooperation with the commission, the president’s press office reports.

They spoke about the memorandum signed yesterday in Yerevan to deepen cooperation between Armenia and the Eurasian Economic Commission.

Khristenko and Sargsyan called the document successful and promising and expressed confidence that the signing of this memorandum creates a firm basis for cooperation between Armenia and the Eurasian Economic Commission.

At the same time, they stressed that they have plenty to do before Armenia joins the Customs Union.

In early September, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, made a joint statement, according to which Armenia has decided to join the Customs Union and to take part in formation of the Eurasian Union in the future. .----0---
