Singapore-based multinational Trafigura interested in projects in Armenia

YEREVAN, July 2. /ARKA/. On Wednesday, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan discussed cooperation in the mining sector and opportunities for investment projects in Armenia with Jeremy Weir, CEO of Singapore-based multinational company Trafigura.
According to the press service of the government, ir presented details about Trafigura's activities in different countries around the world and emphasized his interest in implementing projects in Armenia as well.
Pashinyan stressed the importance of continuing dialogue and discussions in order to outline further steps for cooperation.
According to Armstat, Armenia's industrial output in January-April 2025 amounted to more than 812.25 billion drams (at current prices), a decrease of 16.1% compared to January-April 2024.
In particular, the output in the mining industry stood at almost 135 billion drams (a decline of 6.8%) in the first four months of the year, and in the manufacturing industry, it amounted to more than 535.4 billion drams (a decline of 23.5%).
