The South Caucasus Railway (SCR) company held its regular board of directors meeting in Moscow on September 16.

YEREVAN, September 18. /ARKA/. The South Caucasus Railway (SCR) company held its regular board of directors meeting in Moscow on September 16.
The board members considered the performance report for the first half of 2014 presented by the general director Victor Rebets. The board of directors’ plan for 2014-2015, as well as adjustments to the investment program for 2014 were discussed at the meeting.
The SCR board of directors is headed by president of Russian Railways Vladimir Yakunin. Other members of the board are senior vice-presidents of the parent company Vadim Mikhailov, Valentin Gapanovich, Valery Reshetnikov and other senior staff members, as well as general director of the SCR Victor Rebets and Armenia’s deputy minister of transport and communications Artur Arakelyan.
The SCR stockholders’ meeting held in Yerevan in June commissioned two new complexes – Sanahin permanent way and renewed Railroad Center of Training. In the same time, Armenia’s president Serzh Sargsyan and head of the Russian Railways Vladimir Yakunin discussed future development of rail transport in the country.
South Caucasus Railway, a subsidiary of Russian Railways, runs Armenian Railway, which was handed over to the South Caucasus Railway on February 13, 2008 for 30-year concession management with a right to prolong the management term for other 10 years. –0--
