YEREVAN, November 6. /ARKA/. The Food Safety Inspectorate has suspended production activities (milk procurement and cooling) at the dairy production facility (Gegharkunik Province, Shoghakat village) of the Ashtarak Milk company.
According to the regulator's press service, the violations identified by inspectors are incompatible with food production.
Specifically, the floor and wall surfaces are not made of waterproof, washable, and disinfectable materials; the ceiling is damaged, which does not rule out dirt accumulation, mold growth, the possibility of particle shedding, and moisture condensation; the doors of the production buildings are not smooth and are made of non-absorbent materials.
The scales and towing device, used for storing and unloading milk, show signs of corrosion. The regulator has set a deadline for eliminating the identified violations.
