Some 48,900 homes were sold in Armenia last year, by 4% more than in 2012, deputy chairman of the State Committee of Real Estate Cadastre Ashot Musayan said at a press conference on Friday.

YEREVAN, January 17. / ARKA /. Some 48,900 homes were sold in Armenia last year, by 4% more than in 2012, deputy chairman of the State Committee of Real Estate Cadastre Ashot Musayan said at a press conference on Friday.
According to him, the number of mortgage transactions increased by 6.4 % to 23,600. He said the final analysis of the market in 2013 will be presented on January 25.
He said compared with 2008, the number of declined applications for registration of real estate ownership fell sharply, down to 5 percent from 40 percent some five years ago.
He said in Doing Business rating Armenia was rated number 5 among 189 countries in terms of real estate registration ease. -0-
