United States to allocate $145 million to Armenia for Trump Route project

YEREVAN, September 12. /ARКА/. Brendan Henrechen, the Director of the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs at the U.S. Department of State, announced during a meeting with Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan that the U.S. plans to extend assistance to Armenia amounting to $145 million in collaboration with Congress.

"This represents the initial tranche of funding designated for the execution of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity project and the related agreements established on August 8, aimed at supporting investments in trade, infrastructure, essential mineral resource supply chains, and cross-border security," he stated.

According to the government press service, Grigoryan expressed high regard for the agreements made following the discussions in Washington on August 8 and conveyed optimism that through collaborative efforts, it would be feasible to enhance bilateral relations under the framework of the memorandums of understanding signed between Armenia and the United States.

The agreement concerning the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity project was established among the leaders of Armenia, the United States, and Azerbaijan and was formalized in a trilateral declaration signed in Washington on August 8.-0-
