YEREVAN, July 3. /ARKA/. The Water Committee of Armenia and Veolia Jur CJSC state that claims that the drinking water supply schedule in Yerevan has been violated and that the schedule published by Veolia Jur CJSC on April 3 has changed and worsened are untrue, according to a joint statement from the regulator and Veolia Jur.

The agency recalled that Veolia Jur published schedules in November 2025 and February 2026, according to which, from May 1 to September 16, 2026, water supply to many subscribers in Yerevan was to be reduced to 17 hours per day.

"As a result of government intervention, the Water Committee and Veolia Jur Company have revised and improved the published schedule, committing to expediting efforts in the following two areas: major repairs to water supply systems and distribution networks currently underway in Yerevan; and identifying new water sources and transferring new volumes of water to Yerevan," the statement reads.

As a result, the Water Committee noted that as of July 2 of this year, Yerevan subscribers continue to use the same water supply schedule that was in effect until May 1. The schedule published on April 3 has not yet entered into force, as Veolia Jur Company and the Water Committee have managed to expedite the aforementioned work.

It was also reported that, under the agreement between the RA government and Veolia Jur CJSC, capital works worth approximately 11 billion drams are nearly completed in the Nubarashen, Ajapnyak, Malatia-Sebastia, and Center districts of Yerevan, as well as in several other regions. Work is also underway to transfer water resources to Yerevan from three new sources.

Veolia Jur's website published a statement stating that, starting July 1, for two and a half months, a 17-hour water supply regime will be in effect for some customers in all 12 districts of the capital. A 19-hour regime will be in effect for a small number of addresses, while a 24-hour regime will be maintained for some Yerevan residents. For the rest of the year—from January 1 to June 30 and from September 16 to December 31—a 24-hour water supply regime will be in effect for customers in the capital.
