Work at dairy plant suspended in Armavir, due to gross violations of sanitary standards – regulator

YEREVAN, April 28. /ARKA/. The Food Safety Inspectorate of Armenia has revealed gross violations of sanitary and hygienic standards following inspections at the production facility of “Vanand Kat” LLC in Armavir.
As reported by the regulator’s press service, in particular, the surfaces of the floor, walls and doors of the production facility were uneven, not covered with waterproof, non-absorbent, washable and disinfectable materials; the ceilings did not prevent the accumulation of dirt, mold, the possibility of particles falling off, and also contributed to moisture condensation; all equipment, tools, accessories and containers that were in direct contact with food products were not properly cleaned and disinfected.
In addition, the packaging processes were not carried out under conditions that excluded contamination of food products and did not ensure the integrity and cleanliness of the packaging, and the production premises were not provided with a changing room for the staff, personal belongings and accessories were stored directly in the workshop. By decision of the head of the Inspectorate, the production activities of the dairy workshop of “Vanand” Kat LLC have been suspended, and a deadline has been set for eliminating the violations.
