YEREVAN, September 4. /ARKA/. The mayor of Riga Nil Ushakov who is currently in Moscow on a visit expressed hopes Latvian goods will still be in the Moscow market, despite the Russian food embargo against the EU. The ban included beef, pork, poultry, fish, milk products, fruits, nuts, and etc.

The choice has narrowed, but even then the important thing is to maintain the product range available in Moscow shops, the mayor said in his interview to RIA Novosti.

Earlier Ushakov said he intended to visit Moscow to try to agree on keeping the Riga yard food project in Russian supermarkets. The project is implemented by a Russian-Latvian joint venture, Assol un partneri, and offers Latvia made products, souvenirs and ceramics on specialized stands in Moscow trade chains.  –0--
