The document is prepared by the UN Department for Economic and Social Affairs.
In the CIS, prospects are weak with near zero growth expected in the Russian Federation, the document says.
Russia’s GDP growth is expected at 0.5% by the end of this year and at 0.2% only in 2015, according to the report.
Slump in Russia lowered prospects in other countries of the region. Economy changed from weak growth rates to sharp reduction in Ukraine. Smaller CIS countries have suffered from drop in remittances, the UN experts say.
