Ex-head of “Talin” branch of the “Ardshininvestbank” (Armenia) CJSC G. Barseghyan and chief accountant A. Hovhannisyan will be tried for power abuse.
YEREVAN, June 15. /ARKA/. Ex-head of “Talin” branch of the “Ardshininvestbank” (Armenia) CJSC G. Barseghyan and chief accountant A. Hovhannisyan will be tried for power abuse.
The press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office said that on the basis of facts found as a result of investigation, a charge is brought against both of them according to the second part of Article 214 of the RA Criminal Code (“Power abuse of staff of commercial or other organizations entailing serious consequences”; the punishment is a fine at the rate of 300-500 size of the minimal salary, or arrest for two-three months or imprisonment for not more than four years.)
The investigation found out and proved that G. Barseghyan (who headed “Talin” branch from November 2003 to October 2004) and A. Hovhannisyan used their leading authorities against the interests of the bank and in favor of other people.
“As a result of the crime, the legal interests are morally damaged the total amount of which made AMD 12.8mln ($37ths),” ran the statement.
The criminal case is directed to the First Instance Court of Aragatsotn region for consideration. L.M. –0--
