Director of Armenian construction company booked for gross embezzlement

Armenian prosecutor general’s office has taken an action against A. Petrosyan, director of Erkada Astgh construction company for gross embezzlement and tax evasion, the office’s press service reports.
YEREVAN, May 24. /ARKA/. Armenian prosecutor general’s office has taken an action against A. Petrosyan, director of Erkada Astgh construction company for gross embezzlement and tax evasion, the office’s press service reports.
Petrosyan failed to reconstruct the building of the first-instance court in Vardenis, Gegharkunik province, and pocketed the 39 million drams he received from the government budget and compensated by Griar Insurance company as prepayment for the reconstruction.
Besides, the company has submitted incomplete accounting reports on procurement without VAT data in them to tax agencies and evaded AMD 33.23 million in taxes. ($1 = AMD 374.76). -0-
