Armenian defense minister was not in car that rolled into ravine killing two officers

Artsrun Hovhanisyan, a spokesman for Armenian defense minister, said minister Vigen Sargsyan was not in a car that got in an accident today morning in the southern province of Syunik.

YEREVAN, December 8. /ARKA/. Artsrun Hovhanisyan, a spokesman for Armenian defense minister, said minister Vigen Sargsyan was not in a car that got in an accident today morning in the southern province of Syunik.
"Dear journalists, the Minister of Defence was not in the car that got into the accident. He currently performs his duties," - Hovhannisian wrote in his Facebook page.
Earlier today Armenian authorities identified two career army officers who were killed in the car accident.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations said they are Lieutenant Armen Mosikyan (the driver) and a security officer, captain Aleksan Simonyan.
Shamshyan.com said the accident occurred in the southern Armenian region of Syunik at about 11:40 am. The Lexus car was said to leave the carriageway, turned over and rolled about 40 meters into a ravine.
