Armenian killed in shooting attack in center of Damascus

An Armenian, Hakob Sargsyan, was killed in yesterday’s shooting attack in the center of Damascus, Armenian foreign ministry reported on its facebook page.

Injuries are also reported; Armenian St Sargis church and its Armenian school have been partly damaged.
Armenian community of Syria is one of the biggest ones with about 100,000 people living there till recently. Most of Armenians live in Aleppo (over 60,000), Damascus, Latakia and other cities.
After escalation in Syria, many Armenians moved to their historic motherland. –0—
