Artsakh Defense Ministry denies Azerbaijan's report about suppression of GPS system of civilian plane

YEREVAN, August 21. /ARKA/. Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Defense Ministry denied today Azerbaijan's allegations that it used special device to jam GPS tracker of a civil aircraft.
In a press release the Artsakh Defense Ministry noted that Azerbaijani Defense Ministry on August 21 spread another false report alleging that on August 21 from 10:15 to 10:23 a special unit of the Defense Army jammed the GPS tracker of a civilian plane flying from Fizuli to Azerbaijani capital Baku.
"The statement of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, which has nothing to do with reality, does not stand up to professional examination. As we have noted earlier, the airplane flying from Fizuli to Baku did not cross the air borders of the Republic of Artsakh. By periodically disseminating such false statements, Azerbaijan seeks to distract the attention of the international community from the humanitarian catastrophe, which is aggravating in Nagorno-Karabakh day by day due to the illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor," the Artsakh Defense Ministry said.
The Artsakh Defense Ministry recalled that during the 2020 war and after it, it was the Azerbaijani side that consistently struck at Artsakh's civilian infrastructure, blocking the Lachin corridor, disrupting gas and electricity supplies from Armenia, suppressing access to the Internet and mobile communications. -0-
