Azerbaijanis kidnap 22 year-old Nagorno-Karabakh student at illegal checkpoint in Lachin corridor

YEREVAN, August 28. /ARKA/. Azerbaijani border guards have abducted today another citizen of Nagorno-Karabakh when he was going through the illegal checkpoint established by Azerbaijan in the Lachin corridor, the only road linking Nagorno-Karabakh with Armenia.
The kidnapped citizen is a 22 year-old Alen Sargsyan, who was traveling to Armenia accompanied by Russian peacekeepers, the Artsakh Information Center reported.
It said so far there is no reliable information about the reasons for the abduction. Alen Sargsyan is a student who was on his way to Yerevan to continue his studies.
"Azerbaijan continues its genocidal policy against the people of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), once again violating the norms of international humanitarian law," the Center said.
On July 29, a 68-year-old Artsakh citizen Vagif Khachatryan, accompanied by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), was on his way to Yerevan for medical treatment and was abducted by Azerbaijani border guards at the Lachin corridor checkpoint. -0-
