YEREVAN, July 8. /ARKA/. An earthquake was recorded today in Armenia, the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.

According to the Seismic Protection Service, the earthquake occurred on July 8 at 14:03 local time, 12 kilometers north-east of the village of Bavra in the Shirak region on the border of Armenia and Georgia. The magnitude of the earthquake was 3.1, it said. The focus was located at a depth of 10 km. The shock force at the epicenter was 4 points.

The earthquake was felt in the village of Bavra, as well as in the northern Armenian town of Alaverdi, the villages of Pakhakhbyur and Akori in the Lori region with a force of 3 points. -0-
