YEREVAN, March 24, /ARKA/. A magnitude 5.3 earthquake struck northwestern Iran on Friday morning, Armenian Seismic Protection Service reported.
The tremor was reported at 7:16 a.m. local time (03.16 am GMT). The epicenter was 23 km southeast of the city of Khoy.
The earthquake was felt in many adjoining areas, including Armenia’s southern provinces of Syunik and Vayots Dzor as well as the central province of Kotayk. -0-
