Prime minister Karen Karapetyan extends condolences to Uzbek counterpart

Armenia’s Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan sent a condolence message to Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov in connection with the fire on a passenger bus in Aktyubinsk region of Kazakhstan, which claimed the lives of dozens of citizens of Uzbekistan, the government press office said.

YEREVAN, January 19, /ARKA/. Armenia’s Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan sent a condolence message to Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov in connection with the fire on a passenger bus in Aktyubinsk region of Kazakhstan, which claimed the lives of dozens of citizens of Uzbekistan, the government press office said.
“I was deeply shocked to learn about the tragedy in Aktyubinsk region of Kazakhstan. Asking you to convey my deepest condolences and sympathy to the families and friends of the victims, I wish the injured a speedy recovery,” the message reads.
According to the latest reports, the fire killed more than 50 people. Of the 57 people on board the bus, only five made it out alive. The bus was en route from Uzbekistan to Russia. According to preliminary information, all of the deceased were Uzbek nationals. -0-
