Rescuers were evacuating residents of Sanahin settlement in Armenia's Lori region today, the Interior Ministry reported.
YEREVAN, 27 May. /ARKA/. Rescuers were evacuating residents of Sanahin settlement in Armenia's Lori region today, the Interior Ministry reported.
Floods in northern Armenia have killed at least 4 people, destroyed major roads and bridges and forced hundreds of people to evacuate.
Water is also being drained from the basements of flooded buildings, the ministry said.
The emergency situation was created in Tavush and Lori due to the rains that fell on 25-26 May, as well as due to the overflow of the Debed, Aghstev and Tashir rivers. -0-
