7.6% GDP growth recorded in Armenia in 2019 - Pashinyan

Armenia's GDP has grown 7.6% in 2019, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said Thursday at a cabinet regular meeting, referring to the National Statistical Committee's latest report. "The indicator is not bad," he said. "We can place on record the following: in 2019 we have recorded the largest economic growth since 2008, with which I congratulate all of us,” he said at the government meeting. Pashinyan expressed confidence that indicators will be higher in 2020 thanks to joint efforts.

According to preliminary statistical reports, GDP will amount to 6 trillion 551 billion 849 million drams in absolute terms by the end of 2019. The processing industry dominates GDP with 793.4 billion drams, agriculture has 761.1 billion drams here, wholesale and retail trade, car and motorcycle repair 745.1 billion drams and real estate operations 510.1 billion drams.
In the 2019 government budget, economic growth was projected at 4.9% and inflation at 2.7%. In the 2020 government budget, economic growth is projected at 4.9% and inflation at 4% (±1.5%). ($1 – AMD 478.63). -0---
