Armenia’s union of manufacturers, St. Petersburg information-business centre agree on cooperation
YEREVAN, October 29. /ARKA/. The Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia (UMBA) and St. Petersburg’s Information-Business Center signed today a cooperation agreement in Yerevan.
UMBA President Arsen Ghazaryan and Head of St. Petersburg’s Info-Business Centre signed the document.
Businessmen from both countries met with RA Deputy Minister Vahe Danielyan who talked about Armenia’s business priorities.
“The business forum aims at strengthening business ties between Armenian and Russian entrepreneurs,” Danielyan said, underlining rise in Armenia-Russia trade turnover.
Alexander Isaev, head of St. Petersburg’s Vasileostrovsky regional administration, made a brief introduction to St. Petersburg’s business environment.
According to the RA National Statistical Service, Armenia-Russia trade turnover rose 19.5% year-on-year in January-August to $482.4mln. Armenian exports to Russia increased by 9% year-on-year to $136.4mln (19.6% of the country’s total exports). –0--
