Croatian president to visit Armenia
YEREVAN, May 21. /ARKA/. Croatia’s President Stjepan Mesic arrives in Armenia tonight on the invitation of his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan.
The purpose of the Croatian leader’s first visit to Armenia is to discuss economic cooperation between the two countries and to boost bilateral ties, the RA president’s press service reports.
On May 22, Sargsyan will officially welcome Mesic in the presidential headquarters, after which the two leaders will have a tête-à-tête conversation. On the same day, official delegations of both countries will meet to sign intergovernmental documents.
As part of his visit, the Croatian president will meet with RA NA (National Assembly) Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan and RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.
Mesic will also visit the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial to the Victims of the Armenian Genocide and will meet with Catholicos of All-Armenian Karegin Karekin II.
The Croatian president will visit the Matenadaran Institute of Ancient Manuscripts in Yerevan. Mesic will leave for Croatia on May 23. Z. Sh. –0--
