Armenia and France exchanged documents on cooperation in AI, defense, infrastructure, and finance
YEREVAN, May 5. /ARKA/. Following French President Emmanuel Macron's state visit to Armenia, a number of documents were exchanged, the Armenian government's press service reported.
RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport Zhanna Andreasyan and Benjamin Haddad, Minister Plenipotentiary for European Affairs at the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, exchanged an agreement "between the Government of Armenia and the Government of France on the French University in Armenia Foundation."
RA Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan and Benjamin Haddad, Minister Plenipotentiary for European Affairs at the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, exchanged a letter of intent "between the Government of Armenia and the Government of France on cooperation in the fields of AI, cybersecurity, and semiconductors."
RA Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan and Alice Rufo, Minister Plenipotentiary for Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs at the French Ministry of Defense, exchanged a memorandum of understanding "between the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of Armenia and the French Ministry of Defense on cooperation in the field of research, development, and innovation in military technologies and defense systems."
RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan, Alain Besson, International Director of the French company Razel-Bek SAS, and Laurent Fayan, Director General, Jean-Philippe Salan, representative of the French company Vancy Construction Grands Progés, and Philippe Taverny, Director General, exchanged a memorandum of understanding "On the Bargushat Tunnel Construction Program in the Republic of Armenia," signed between the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure and the French joint venture Vancy Construction Grands Progés and Razel-Bek SAS.
RA Minister of Finance Vahagn Hovhannisyan and Bertrand Walckenaer, Deputy Director General of the French Development Agency (AfD), exchanged a memorandum of understanding "On the New Multi-Year Public Policy Lending Program in Armenia."

Edmond Bardumyan, CEO of the National Mortgage Company CJSC, the credit institution implementing the refinancing, and Bertrand Walckenaer, Deputy CEO of the French Development Agency, exchanged a memorandum of understanding "on the development of affordable housing in the Republic of Armenia" between the National Mortgage Company CJSC, the credit institution implementing the refinancing, and the French Development Agency.
Andrey Mkrtchyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ameriabank, and Bertrand Walckenaer, Deputy CEO of the French Development Agency, exchanged a loan financing agreement between Ameriabank and the Company for the Promotion and Participation in Economic Cooperation (PROPARCO).
Evocabank CEO Karen Yeghiazaryan and the Deputy Director General of the French Development Agency, Walckenaer, exchanged a loan financing agreement between Evocabank and the Company for the Promotion and Participation in Economic Cooperation (PROPARCO).
Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Karen Brutyan and Chairman of the Administrative Board of the SOFEMA Group Frédéric Tisserand exchanged a contract for the supply of equipment between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia and the French group SOFEMA.
