Poll reveals parliamentary race favorites and voter willingness to participate

The results of a Gallup International Association poll revealed the distribution of voters' political preferences and their willingness to participate in the parliamentary elections in Armenia, which will be held on June 7, 2026.

YEREVAN, May 22. /ARKA/. The results of a Gallup International Association poll revealed the distribution of voters' political preferences and their willingness to participate in the parliamentary elections in Armenia, which will be held on June 7, 2026.

Leaders

According to Aram Navasardyan, head of the Armenian office of Gallup International Association, the survey participants were asked which of the 19 registered political forces they would vote for if the National Assembly elections were held next Sunday.

According to the poll results, 28.8% of respondents said they would vote for the ruling Civil Contract party. The Strong Armenia bloc came in second with 14.9%, and the opposition Armenia bloc came in third with 12.1%. 8.7% of respondents are prepared to vote for the Prosperous Armenia Party, 5.8% for the Wings of Unity Party, 3.4% for the Democracy, Law, and Discipline Party, and 2.9% for the Enlightened Armenia Party.

2.8% of respondents supported the Meritocratic Party of Armenia, 2.7% for the reformist New Force Party, 1.9% for the Against All Party, 1.3% for the Republic Party, 0.5% for the For the Republic – Defenders of Democracy Party, 0.4% for the Kochari – National Revival and Awakening of the Nation Party, and 0.3% for the Armenian National Congress Party. 0.2% of respondents each stated their support for the Christian Democratic Party and the National Democratic Pole, while 0.1% each supported the Democratic Union Party, the Progressive Centrist Alliance Party, and the Reformist Party.

Moreover, 8.6% of respondents refused to answer the question, 3.4% were undecided, and 0.9% said they would spoil their ballot.

Willingness to Participate

According to Navasardyan, 59.3% of respondents said they would definitely vote in the upcoming parliamentary elections, while another 14% said "most likely."

Meanwhile, 11.4% of respondents said they would rather not vote, 8.3% said they would definitely not, and 7% said they were undecided.

The survey also showed that 28.1% of respondents believe the elections will be definitely fair, while 23.8% said they will probably be fair. Moreover, 19.1% of respondents believe the elections will likely be rigged, 17% are certain they will definitely be rigged, and 12.3% were undecided.

A total of 1,102 people participated in the telephone survey, conducted in Armenia from May 19–21.
