YEREVAN, June 29. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received a delegation led by Iranian Vice President Seyed Hamid Pourmohammadi.

According to the Armenian government's press service, Pashinyan emphasized the importance of strengthening peace and stability in the region during his conversation with Pourmohammadi. He stated that this will contribute to the consistent development of relations and cooperation throughout the region.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of border infrastructure development projects between Armenia and Iran. Specifically, they discussed the construction of a second bridge across the Armenian-Iranian border, a new terminal, the development of customs cooperation, and the improvement of customs procedures. The parties also emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in the energy sector.

In addition, joint road construction projects were discussed, as well as prospects for further cooperation in agriculture, mining, infrastructure, and other areas.
Particular attention was paid to the process of unblocking regional communications and the new opportunities they could open.

Pourmohammadi conveyed warm greetings from Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to the Armenian Prime Minister and thanked the Armenian government for its position and humanitarian support provided to Iran in this difficult situation.

Following the meeting, Pashinyan returned the warm greetings to Pezeshkian.
