YEREVAN, June 29. /ARKA/. Up to 400 million drams will be needed to begin construction of the Noragavit overpass in Yerevan in 2026, according to Aneta Babayan, director of the Yerevan Urban Development PIU.

The project will be a transportation hub that will connect the Artashat Highway—the M2 North-South interstate road—with the H-8 Highway and 1st Street in Noragavit.

According to her, the project's tender procedures have been completed, and companies have been selected for technical supervision and construction. One contract has already been signed, and a second is being finalized.

At a meeting at City Hall on Monday, Babayan noted that, based on the results of the tenders, the total investment costs for the project are estimated at approximately 1.3 billion drams. "As soon as funding is allocated, construction work can begin," she said.

Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan announced that the winners of the overpass construction and technical supervision tenders have already been determined, and work will begin once funding is allocated and agreements are signed. ($1 = 368.12 drams).
