GERMANY-SOUTH CAUCASUS PARLIAMENTARY GROUP TO ARRIVE IN REGION

The RA Parliament’s press service reported that Germany’s Ambassador to Armenia Heike Renate Peitsch said this during her meeting with RA National Assembly Speaker Tigran Torosyan.
YEREVAN, June 22. /ARKA/. Germany-South Caucasus Parliamentary Group at the Bundestag will visit the region in near future.
The RA Parliament’s press service reported that Germany’s Ambassador to Armenia Heike Renate Peitsch said this during her meeting with RA National Assembly Speaker Tigran Torosyan.
During the meeting the sides discussed political issues and aspects of developing multi-party system in Armenia.
Pointing out that in coming years concrete steps will be taken, Torosyan attached great importance to using Germany’s wide experience in this sphere.
In this context he pointed out the necessity of equal distribution of German Fund’s activity with all representatives of the political field, as the authorities and the opposition are parts of this multi-party system and have the same problems.
Torosyan pointed out that during her mission Peitsch made significant steps to deepen bilateral relations.
He attached great importance to the further development of interparliamentary relations, potential that both countries have.
Torosyan attached great importance to establishing cooperation with German political structures.
At the same time Peitsch who is finishing her three-year diplomatic mission in Armenia, thanked Torosyan for cooperation. L.M.—0--
