YEREVAN, January 13. /ARKA/. Armenia’s cabinet ministers decided Thursday at their regular meeting to allocate €1.7 million from the reserve fund for technical equipment for election processes.
David Harutyunyan, minister-head of the government staff, said these financial resources had been provided as part of the European Union’s program aimed at supporting election processes in Armenia.
“The European Union provides support to Armenia to enable it to organize elections decently, with using necessary technical equipment,” he said. “The financial resources were transferred in the end of 2016 and now we are merely distributing them.”
In his words, the remaining money will be left on deposit account of the reserve fund and will be used for deploying video devices.
