Armenian president meets representatives of American Jewish committee
YEREVAN, May 29. /ARKA/. Armenian President Serge Sargsyan received American Jewish Committee Ambassador Peter Rosenblatt, Director of Strategic Studies Barry Jacobs and Executive Director of Armenian-American Ross Vardanyan in Yerevan on Thursday, presidential press office reports.
President Sargsyan said that Armenia is interested in developing relations with the United States.
Rosenblatt, presenting American Jewish Committee, said it is one of the key organizations of Jewish community, which is maximally involved in international relationship. He also said that the committee is aware of the situation on South Caucasus and is watching carefully developments here.
Rosenblatt also said that the American Jewish Committee pay great attention to Armenia-related issues because of close ties with Armenian community in the United States. Armenian-Turkish relations were discussed at the meeting.
Sargsyan reiterated that Armenia is willing to built normal relations with neighbors. He said that Yerevan has repeatedly expressed willingness to establish diplomatic ties with Turkey without putting forward any preconditions.
Armenian-Israeli relations were discussed as well.-0---
