“Believe, to change” slogan by Armenia’s republican party addressed to each citizen: deputy

“Believe, to change” slogan, delivered by the ruling Republican Party of Armenia, is addressed to all Armenian citizens, Republican deputy Hovhannes Sahakyan said on Tuesday.
YEREVAN, March 13. /ARKA/. “Believe, to change” slogan, delivered by the ruling Republican Party of Armenia, is addressed to all Armenian citizens, Republican deputy Hovhannes Sahakyan said on Tuesday.

“This is a message addressed to all citizens of Armenia, who want to change both their life and that of the country for the better,” Sahakyan said at the press conference.

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan called upon the participants of Republican Party’s 13th congress on March 10 to “ believe in order to change.” “The old and young, the builder and scientist, the successful and the one, who is still searching. Let’s believe and change!,”- the president said.

By these words, the president wanted to deliver a message to the citizens about constant development and reformation of people’s life, according to Sahakyan. 

In his turn, Larisa Alaverdyan, Heritage Armenian opposition party deputy, said that official election campaigning hadn’t started in the country yet, and it is “early to speak about slogans.”

The next parliamentary elections will be held in Armenia on May 6, 2012.
“ Our colleagues from Republican Party have already declared about their slogan and started private electioneering, but it should be implemented within the norms and terms that exist,” Alaverdyan said. 

She also added that Heritage Party will unveil its slogan and kick off campaigning when it was officially decided- April 8, 2012.Republican Party of Armenia was registered in 1991. It was first headed by Ashot Navasardyan throughout 1990-1997, and after his death- by Andranik Margaryan who became Armenia’s Prime Minister in 2000. After Margaryan’s death in 2007, Sezh Sargsyan was appointed the Party’s leader. Republican Party has 65 mandates in the parliament. Armenian National Assembly’s Speaker, Prime Minister, and most of the ministers are members of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia. —0--
