AMD 205.56 million raised for YES constitutional referendum campaign

The Civil Contract, the ruling political party in Armenia, has held a party yesterday to raise money for the constitutional referendum's YES campaign, Haykakan Zhamanak (Armenian Times) reported on Wednesday.

YEREVAN, February 26. /ARKA/. The Civil Contract, the ruling political party in Armenia, has held a party yesterday to raise money for the constitutional referendum's YES campaign, Haykakan Zhamanak (Armenian Times) reported on Wednesday.
Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Minister Suren Papikyan, who is also the head of the YES campaign, is quoted by the daily as saying that AMD 205.56 million is already raised and the inflow of donations is under way now.
According to the newspaper, Garun Agency organization has won the tender announced for choosing a logotype for the campaign. The company will receive AMD 3 million as prize.
On February 6, the Armenian National Assembly decided to hold a referendum to get the constitutional court out of the deadlock. The referendum is scheduled for April 5. ($1 – AMD 478,33). -0--
