YEREVAN, October 16. /ARKA/. Armenia and the United States confirmed their readiness to deepen their defense partnership. This was reported by the press service of the RA Defense Ministry following a meeting between Minister Suren Papikyan and Elbridge Colby, Under Secretary of Defense for Policy.

During the meeting, issues related to the current state of Armenian-American defense cooperation and the initiation of long-term institutional programs were discussed.

The interlocutors reaffirmed their readiness to deepen their defense partnership, emphasizing the important role of the United States in establishing stable and long-term security in the region.

They also touched upon a number of issues related to the implementation of joint initiatives in military education and defense reform.

Armenian Ambassador to the United States Narek Mkrtchyan also attended the meeting.
