YEREVAN, February 10. /ARKA/. In a speech at the Norwegian Institute of International Relations last Friday Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said that it is important to achieve peace in the region of the South Caucasus.

“One of the key goals of the foreign policy of the Republic of Armenia is to ensure a stable and secure environment around the country based on unconditional respect for statehood, sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Mirzoyan said at a meeting with the leadership and experts of the Institute in Oslo.

The Armenian Foreign Ministry's press service said the Minister presented Yerevan's vision on the current security situation in the South Caucasus region, the possibilities of establishing stability and peace, as well as the challenges on this way.

In the context of Armenia's foreign policy diversification, the sides discussed the efforts aimed at the building of new strong partnerships.

The Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs also answered questions of interest to the audience.-0-
