Armenia, Kuwait sign agreement to lift visa regime for diplomats

Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah signed today an agreement to lift visa regime for diplomats as a first step in the visa regime simplification process launched by the two countries, the Armenian foreign ministry’s press office reports.

YEREVAN, November 20. /ARKA/. Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah signed today an agreement to lift visa regime for diplomats as a first step in the visa regime simplification process launched by the two countries, the Armenian foreign ministry’s press office reports. 

Nalbandyan, who is now in Kuwait for an official visit, said that Armenia attaches great importance to development of relations with Arab countries, particularly with Kuwait, and will take also other steps in this direction. 

The ministers discussed development of trade and economic relations between the two countries as well as ties in, banking, agriculture, healthcare, education and culture areas. 

Nalbandyan presented his Kuwaiti counterpart the latest developments in the Karabakh conflict settlement and expressed appreciation of Kuwaiti authorities’ support for OSCE Minsk Group’s efforts to settle the conflict. 

Edward Nalbandyan invited Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah to Armenia. -0-
