Armenia reaffirms intention to step up cooperation with OSCE

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has reaffirmed today Armenian government’s decision to step up cooperation and constructive dialogue with the OSCE and its member countries as he met with an OSCE delegation led by Veronique Roger-Lacan.

YEREVAN, June 18. /ARKA/. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has reaffirmed today Armenian government’s decision to step up cooperation and constructive dialogue with the OSCE and its member countries as he met with an OSCE delegation led by Veronique Roger-Lacan.
The government press service said Pashinyan and OSCE officials discussed the latest developments in Armenia, its foreign policy priorities. It said also Pashinyan answered a number of interesting questions from OSCE delegation members on political and economic plans, as well as reforms planned for the advancement of democratic institutions.
At the request of OSCE officials, Pashinyan presented his observations concerning the organization of early parliamentary elections and amendments to the Electoral Code, combating corruption and monopolies, and improving the business environment.
Pashinyan also spoke about the Karabakh conflict settlement, the Armenian-Turkish relations, and presented the current stage of Armenia’s relations with Russia, the European Union, the United States and other countries.
Roger-Lacan thanked the Prime Minister for an honest and direct dialogue, stressing that the OSCE is ready to develop and deepen relations with Armenia to support its reforms. -0-
