YEREVAN, June 20. /ARKA/. Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) will not have serious impact on the settlement of the Karabakh problem, first co-chair of OSCE Minsk Group from Russia (1992-1996) Vladimir Kazimirov said, Novosti-Armenia reported.
At a EEU extended meeting of May 29 in Astana Armenia’s president said Yerevan intended to joint the EEU before mid June. Yet, July 1st is considered by a more realistic date for the accession.
‘I believe there can’t be any direct connection between Armenia’s accession to the EEU and the Karabakh conflict’, he told a press conference Friday.
According to Kazimirov, in respect to the EEU the priority is the commercial and economic issues, which is a secondary factor in Karabakh peace process. –0--
