Armenia’s National Security Service to have its 2022 budget increased by almost 23 percent

YEREVAN, November 1. /ARKA/. The Armenian government plans to increase the 2022 budgets of the National Security Service (NSS) and the Police, and to cut slightly the budget of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Finance Minister Tigran Khachatryan told a parliamentary discussion of the government’s draft budget for the next year.
According to him, the 2022 draft budget calls for about 42.7 billion dram financing for the National Security Service, which is 22.85% more in comparison with the budget approved for 2021, which is
34 billion 733 million drams.
As for the Police, the minister said that the draft state budget for 2022 envisages the allocation of 66 billion 585.6 million drams, up from 64 billion 652 million drams approved for 2021.
Regarding the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the minister informed that the draft state budget has earmarked 13 billion 975.8 million drams for it, down from 14 billion 216.7 million drams approved for 2021.
The draft budget of the government designed for 2022 calls for 1 trillion 946 billion drams in revenue, which is by 17% more in comparison with 2021, and by 25% more in comparison with 2020.
The spending is set at 2 trillion 190 billion drams, which is by 10% more than in 2021 and by 16% more that in 2020. ($ 1 - 477.8 drams). --0--
