YEREVAN, February 26. /ARKA/. The National Assembly of Armenia ratified Tuesday an agreement on “Cooperation targeted at development” signed in Yerevan on 26 June 2012 between Armenia and Austria.
“Armenia has analogical agreements with almost all donor-states. The framework agreement embraces main points which will appear as a base for future agreements on technical and financial aid,” Deputy Finance Minister of Armenia Vardan Aramyan said presenting the document.
According to him, the document is mainly targeted at fostering sustainable growth and economic development in Armenia as well as implementation of economic, political and social reforms.
He also noted the document meets the basic points of the Act signed in 2002. In compliance with this Act, Austria, as a developed state, takes the responsibility of supporting developing countries in implementing reforms and eliminating poverty.
Aramyan highlighted the agreement on technical and financial aid obliges Armenia to exempt the donor from all kinds of taxes and duties. -0-
