The Republican Party of Armenia has not yet made a final decision on whether to nominate a candidate for the post of prime minister or not, the acting justice minister David Harutyunyan said in an interview with RFE/RL Armenian Service.

YEREVAN, April 28. /ARKA/. The Republican Party of Armenia has not yet made a final decision on whether to nominate a candidate for the post of prime minister or not, the acting justice minister David Harutyunyan said in an interview with RFE/RL Armenian Service. David Harutyunyan is also a member of the Republican Party’s Executive Board.
"We do not yet have a final decision, including on whether we will nominate our candidate for the post of head of government, but I would like to note that there should be a political way out of the crisis, because another scenario would become a dangerous precedent," said Harutyunyan.
He noted that otherwise there could be a situation in which opposition leader Nikol Pashinyan would become prime minister, but in a few months another group of citizens would say that they were dissatisfied with Pashinyan, as their expectations did not materialize and the people would again take to streets.
"For this reason, we insist that it is important for the country that the process develops only in the political framework," he said.-0-
