YEREVAN, January 6. /ARКА/. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense's statement that on January 5, between 22:00 and 22:10, units of the Armenian Armed Forces allegedly opened fire towards Azerbaijani positions in the southeastern part of the border zone is false, according to a statement from the Armenian Ministry of Defense.

The ministry also reminded that the office of the Prime Minister of Armenia had proposed establishing a joint Armenia-Azerbaijan mechanism to investigate cases of ceasefire violations and/or related information. However, Azerbaijan has yet to respond to this proposal.
