YEREVAN, April 2. /ARКА/. The report of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry that on April 2 from 13:55 to 14:05, units of the Armenian Armed Forces opened fire in the direction of Azerbaijani positions located in the southeastern section of the border zone is not true, the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry reported.

The ministry recalled that the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia proposed to create a joint Armenian-Azerbaijani mechanism to investigate violations of the ceasefire regime and/or information about them. However, Azerbaijan has not yet responded to this proposal.

"The RA Defense Ministry confirms that in accordance with the position of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, it is ready to investigate the facts confirming the statement of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry upon their transfer to the Armenian side," the statement said. -0-
