Armenian Defense Ministry once again denied Azerbaijan's report of shelling on the border

YEREVAN, April 7. /ARKA/. The statement by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense, claiming that from the evening of April 6 to 04:30 on April 7, units of the Armenian Armed Forces allegedly opened fire in the direction of Azerbaijani positions located on the eastern and southeastern sections of the border, is untrue, the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Defense reported.
The ministry recalled that the Office of the Prime Minister of Armenia had proposed the creation of a joint Armenia-Azerbaijan mechanism to investigate cases of ceasefire violations and/or related information. However, Azerbaijan has yet to respond to this proposal.
“The Ministry of Defense of Armenia confirms that, in line with the position of the Prime Minister’s Office, it is ready to investigate the facts that would substantiate the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense's statement, upon their transfer to the Armenian side,” the statement said.
