YEREVAN, March 20. /ARKA/. The Armenian Ministry of Defense has denied Azerbaijan's disinformation about the shelling of the border for the 11th time since March 16.

"The statement from the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense that, on March 19, between 19:00 and 19:10, units of the RA Armed Forces opened fire towards Azerbaijani positions in the eastern part of the border zone is not true," the Armenian Ministry of Defense reported.

The statement also reminds that the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia proposed creating a joint Armenia-Azerbaijan mechanism to investigate cases of ceasefire violations and/or any information about them. However, Azerbaijan has not yet responded to this proposal.

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia confirms that, in accordance with the position of the Office of the Prime Minister of Armenia, it is ready to investigate the facts that support the statement of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense once they are transferred to the Armenian side. The Ministry points out that, at this moment, Azerbaijan has not provided Armenia with any factual data or evidence regarding ceasefire violations by units of the Armenian Armed Forces.
