Armenian agencies are fully prepared to host joint military exercises "Interaction-2012" of the Collective Rapid Reaction Force of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the press service of the National Security Council of Armenia said today.
YEREVAN, September 4. /ARKA/. Armenian agencies are fully prepared to host joint military exercises "Interaction-2012" of the Collective Rapid Reaction Force of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the press service of the National Security Council of Armenia said today. The joint tactical war games are scheduled for September 15 - 19.
During a regular meeting of a task force set up at the order of the president of Armenia to handle preparations of the war games, National Security Council Secretary Arthur Baghdasaryan said that the exercises are of great importance for Armenia, taking into account their social and political significance.
During the meeting, representatives of the Armenian Armed Forces, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Emergency Situations, Ministry of Regional Development and National Security Council reported on the preparation and conduct of the war exercises.
CSTO member states, after Uzbekistan suspended its membership are Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan. It was established on the basis of the Collective Security Treaty, signed on 15 May 1992 by CIS member countries. -0-
